Last Week at Crafty Catz

Well it is my last post for Crafty Catz and I'm very thankful that they gave me an opportunity to join them for a month as their GDT.

They are a great group of talented ladies and will miss them but I will continue to enter their challenges so i guess i'm not going too far away lol

I coloured with my Prisma Pencils of course and cut my card and die cuts with my Silhouette :)

Crafty Catz GDT Week 3

I can't believe I made it back this week but I did..yayyyy

This has been a tough week for me being sick, this darn cold better leave my house quick!

Today I have a card for you that I made for my 3rd week as GDT for Crafty Catz. What a great bunch of ladies over there, they have been so nice to me, thanks ladies :)

The challenge this week is "use green, cream plus one other colour".

This week I decided not to colour!

This is the first time I have attempted a card without colouring a digi and I must say it felt very strange.  I didn't know how I was going to approach it but I knew that I wanted to do a masculine card since it was my son's 17th birthday on Wednesday.  

I thought of the things he liked to do and came up with fishing...we live in Northern Ontario so it's an outdoor paradise all year around :)

I decided to do the whole project in card stock not using designer paper.  I cut all my die cuts with my silhouette and heat embossed the "gone fishing" text, scraped and ruffed up the edges of my paper, added some corrugated and voila!

CFTH ~ Flowers

Good day to all :)

Hope everyone is feeling ok, me... not so much.

There has been a bad cold going around our house and alas.... i seem to have caught it.. ughhhhhhh

I would love to say that i have been spending lots of time crafting but instead i'll say that i have been spending lots of time curled up in my recliner lol...

I hear my husband moaning in the next room as i write this lol... MEN!!

Well this week at Crafting From The Heart, the theme is "Flowers", so come on over and show us your creations. Remember that the challenge is always anything goes so it's ok if you didn't use flowers :)

The Image i chose this week is from Aurora Wings. I must say that this image was such a challenge for me in many ways. First, the amount of detail in this image and trying to choose colours was a huge challenge. Next... her hair!!!!  OMG i must have coloured and erased a million times before i finally has happy with it..... the problem was with the shape i printed the image out on.. i didn't realize at the time that the black lines for her hair were very short and did not reach to top of my image so i had to imporvise and drawn my way through it lol....but  i think it turned out and i'm very happy with it :)  My very last challenge was to choose papers and colours... i started with a step card then scraped that one,  I then cut a shell shaped card.... scraped that one too lol... I also started with teal, then went darker, then decided on the blue and grey!!!!

I used lots of stickles and pearls for this one too

OMG!!!!!!! lol

Crafty Catz GDT Week 2

Hope everyone had a good week.  

I'm back again with a new card for this weeks challenge at Crafty Catz.

The theme this week is Lady in Red and they have some great prizes from their fabulous sponsors.

The image I chose this week is from Rick St.Dennis called Morning Goddess.

I coloured her with Prisma Pencils, the sentiment is from TLC and I added die cuts from my Silhouette.

I decided to go with a coffee theme since coffee is my weakness and... well..... she is what i usually look like in the morning... including the coffee cup lol

Be Mine

Hope everyone is having a great day :)
Today I will be working on my next card for my GDT spot at Crafty Catz which will be posting a new challenge on Friday.  Then I'll be working on my next DT card for Crafting From The Heart which will be posting a new challenge next Monday, so stop on by and check both of them out :)

It's been a quiet week for me, just how I like it lol.... I love my alone time when the kids are in school :)

Today I have a card that I was asked to make by a friend for his girlfriend.  I've been using so much red and black lately in my valentine cards that I decided to change it up.  I wanted the "spring feel" since it's just around the corner...or maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part lol....all I know is this snow has got to go!!
I coloured this image with my prisma pencils, blending with colour and a colourless blender (since I've given up gamsol).  I used my silhouette for my die cuts and this is what I've come up with...hope she likes it :)

The image I have chosen for this challenge is Ophelia's Heart by Dilly Beans.

I just love the sort of "goth meets Nightmare Before Christmas" look that she has about her and thought she would be a fun image on a card.

Because of her "look", I couldn't make her too girly, so I figured red, black and Valentine is the way I would go with her.

I coloured her with Prisma Pencils and heat embossed some die cuts
